A big lion lived in a forest. One day, the lion was sleeping. A little mouse was playing nearby. He suddenly fell on the lion and woke him up. The lion grew angry. The Lion caught the mouse and was about to kill him.

The poor little creature began to tremble with fear. It begged pardon. It said in a pitiful voice, “My Lord, I may be of some use to you someday”. So pardon me. The lion smiled at this and set the mouse free.

After a few days, the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He set up a terrible roar. The mouse heard it and went there for his help. It cut the net and set the lion free. Then, the lion realized that even a tiny animal can help a big one.

The mouse was grateful and thanked the lion. One day, the mouse was looking for some food. Suddenly, he saw that the lion was caught in a net in the jungle. The mouse remembered the lion’s help and started cutting the net with his sharp teeth.

Finally, the mouse cut the net and set the lion free. The lion was also grateful to the little creature. So he thanked the mouse and offered him to be his friend.
