Introduction: Man loves to turn back to his past and feels nostalgic. Childhood is an important part of human life, as many events of both pleasure and pain take place during that period. To me, childhood is the sweetest period in a man’s life. The memories of my childhood haunt me like a passion very often. Whenever I feel very lonely or dejected, I dive into the memories of my childhood to remove my loneliness and fill my heart with happiness. Then I wish I could have been a child again.
My Early School Life: The memories of my school days dominate my childhood. I was sent to school at six years old. I studied in a distant primary school called Faridpur Government Primary School up to class three. Then I was made to take admission in another school called Dumrakanda Govt. Primary School. I used to go to school with my village friends. My cousin, who was one year senior to me, was my constant school-going companion. In school, the classes were not very interesting to me, but during the leisure period while we used to play various sports.
Daily Activities and Fun: I was a regular student in my class. So, I was hardly beaten or scolded by my teachers for negligence to studies. After school was over, on our way home, we used to play ha-du-du, hide and seek, gather plums or steal green mangoes from some wayside trees, and sometimes we used to bathe in the river. I used to flee from school to do those things with my friends. One day, my three friends went to a friend’s house to eat green plums. But as the tree was too tall for us to climb, we had to come back home dissatisfied and disappointed.
Holidays and Leisure: In my school, I was not a good athlete. Yet, I used to participate in various events of sports and games. Once I got two prizes in race and long jump. Then I was very excited and happy. The holidays were my favourite too. On holidays, I would play with my village friends almost the whole day. Sometimes, I would go to some other village to play. I would also visit my nearby relatives on holidays.
Conclusion: How happy I was in my childhood days! The happy and pleasant memories of those days still give immense pleasure. If I could have gone back to those days again!

Introduction: Man has a normal tendency to turn back to memories from the present. The present may be good, but to him the past is golden. The memories of my childhood often make me feel quite nostalgic. Whenever I am sick of the present, I try to get relief in the past days of my childhood.
Childhood memories: I, along with my friends, would play ha-du-du, volleyball, football, etc., in the playground in front of our primary school. Our games being over, we would swim in the pond lying behind the school and amuse ourselves.
Our village maktab was another source of interest in my childhood. An old and experienced maulavi used to teach us Arabic. He taught us most sincerely, and we all respected him from the core of our hearts.
The next interesting experience was my first day at school. I went to school with my father. My father went to the head teacher, taking me, who took me in his arms, asked my name, and asked some questions. I replied smartly, and he became very glad. Then my admission to nursery was completed.
I was very fond of stealing mangoes, lychees, blackberries, green coconut, etc., in the company of my friends in summer. We would often forget to eat our midday meals. There was a bush near our school. We would always search for birds there, and if we found them, we would take them away. One day, the mother bird attacked us fiercely while we were snatching her young ones away.
Another interesting memory was the village haat, sitting twice a week. I usually would go there along with my elder brother and buy some food items. I enjoyed it so much at the sight of various items to be sold. On holidays, when my mother went to sleep at noon, I together with my friends would go to our playground. We would play with marbles. It was a fascinating game for us.
