My Favourite Game Composition (200 words)
Introduction:
The game I like most is cricket. It is an outdoor game. It is not a game of our country. It has come to our country from Europe. Now it is played all over the world.
Why I Like Cricket:
I like cricket because it gives me great joy. It gives delight to both the players and the spectators. It is full of thrill and excitement. It is good for health and teaches us many qualities. It teaches us to be prompt, clever, and careful.
How the Game is Played:
The game is played between two teams. Each team has eleven players. The game is played in an open and plain field. Two sets of wickets are pitched in the ground, 22 yards apart. One team fields and the other team bats.
Two of the fielding parties stand at the two sets of wickets and bowl. They are called bowlers. Their aim is to strike the wickets with the ball. The batsman tries to stop the ball. He hits it off when the batsman and the other man at the opposite wickets run. One run is thus scored. They go on running until the ball reaches the bowler. When the ball strikes the wickets, the batsman is said to be out. He then leaves the bat, and another man takes his place.
They go in this way till all but one are out. The fielding party then comes to bat, and the batting party goes to the field. The game is finished when the players of this party are out. The parties have two umpires who count the runs. The party that scores more runs is said to be the winner.
Conclusion:
Cricket is a good game. It is very interesting. At present, it is a very popular game in Bangladesh. It is seen that many people find interest in playing this game.
