The Ant and the Grasshopper Completing Story (I)
It was a very cold winter day. Mr. Ant was busy taking care of the food grains he stored during the summer. At that moment, he heard a knock at his door. He opened the door and found his friend, Mr. Grasshopper, standing in front of his door.
Mr. Grasshopper said, “I am hungry, please save my life.” Mr. Grasshopper hoped that his friend would not deprive him and would help him with some food. So, he requested Mr. Ant to save his life from starvation.
Mr. Ant asked him, “What did you do during the summer? Didn’t you save anything?” Mr. Grasshopper replied, “I spent the whole summer singing.”
Mr. Ant said, “How could you spend the whole summer without doing anything? Didn’t you think that if you didn’t work, you would have to starve?” Mr. Grasshopper said, “I am very sorry for wasting my time. I could realize what a blunder I had made. Would you please help me this time?”
But Mr. Ant said, “Poor friend, it is true we have enough for ourselves, but we are not in a position to help you.”

Mr. Grasshopper and Mr. Ant were neighbors. They were very good friends. Mr Grasshopper was very lazy and imprudent. During the summer, he spent his days idly by merry-making. On the contrary, Mr. Ant was very hardworking.
He got up very early in the morning, ate a small breakfast, and then started working on his farm. He worked very hard all day under the hot summer sun. He planted many crops and looked after them carefully. While Mr Ant worked on his farm, Mr Grasshopper sang happily in the warm sun.
And when he stopped, he sat and admired the beautiful countryside all around him. He looked at the leaves on the trees, the green fields, and the fishermen’s boats on the sea. Then Mr Grasshopper fell asleep.
While Mr Grasshopper slept quietly in his chair, Mr Ant continued to work on his farm. For many days, weeks, and months, he was busy in his fields. So while Mr Grasshopper enjoyed his leisure, Mr Ant worked hard from morning till night.
While the rainy season set in, Mr Grasshopper fell into danger. He could not manage two square meals a day as he did not store food. He had to lead a miserable life.
On the contrary, Mr Ant led his life very well as he thought about his future.
