Letter about Your Country (Ex-1)

20 May, 2029
Mymensingh

Dear John,
I am happy to receive your letter. You have been curious about my country. Now I am describing it.

Bangladesh is in South-East Asia. It is a small country. Its total land area is 1,47,570 square kilometers. But it has a large population. Dhaka is its capital. Bangladesh is a riverine country. There are many big and small rivers in it.

Most of the people are farmers. The people of different religions live in peace. They are simple and peace-loving. They are free and friendly. The country has nice tourist spots. They are Cox’s Bazar sea beach, the Sundarbans, Kuakata, Sonagaon, Mahasthangar, etc. Actually, Bangladesh is a land of natural beauty.

No more today. Please let me know about your country.

Yours ever,
Rusel

Letter about Your Country (Ex-2)

18 March, 2028
Shaheed Mainul Road,
Dhaka-1000.

My dear Edmund Lee,
At the very outset, accept my heartfelt love. Hope that you are well by the mercy of the Almighty. You like to know about our country and its people. Now I am giving you an account.

Bangladesh is well-known as the endearing child of nature. Ours is a country full of scenic beauty. She has many eye-catching sites such as Kuakata, the Sundarbans, the sea beach of Cox’s Bazar, the forests of hilly districts, the tea gardens of Sylhet, and some architecturally rich old mosques and temples. About 800 people live per square kilometre here. But 80 percent of people live in the villages.

So, our country is densely populated. Most of our people are Muslims. Besides, there are Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and tribal people. We all live in mutual harmony. Here, people know how to entertain their guests gladly and cordially. People observe various cultural festivals like Pahela Baishakh, Nabanna Utsab, National Days, Marriage ceremonies, etc, in a befitting manner.

No more today, write to me about your country soon. Wish you good luck.

Yours ever,
Monira.

Letter about Your Country (Ex-3)

Oxford Mission Road, Barishal

Dear Jovan,
How do you do, my dear? Ok? I hope so. A few days ago, you wrote a letter to me that is yet unanswered due to some technical problems. In your letter, you expressed a heartfelt and exalted devotion to know about my darling motherland and her people. No, we are mindful and pay heed to the following fact.

Bangladesh is a South Asian country with a tiny area and a big population. The people here are of various creeds, castes, and customs. The riverine country, Bangladesh, is a natural haven of natural goods such as forest land, running rivers, sea beach, hilly areas, stagnant beel, jheel, etc. The natural sequences surrounding and embracing our land are a panorama of vision.

The Sundarbans and Kuakata sea beach of South Bangla, Cox’s Bazar sea beach of the south-easternmost zone of Bangladesh, the river basin of the Padma, the Meghna, and the Jamuna-all these are the hoarders of pictorial quality of a poet’s brush. You can see here acres of meadow or grassland, innumerable fields across the meadow, countless gleaners gleaning in the fields during the harvesting season, juice oozing from the date palm during the winter, minstrels or bards wandering about in villages and hamlets in our agro and village-based country. Six seasons, prevalent in Bangladesh, are a newer experience for you, respectively.

Flood often visits my BaBangladeshotoitsr geographical position or stand and climate conditions. In fact, natural disasters perform here like a brutal stepmother.

Despite manifold natural adversities, we are heading as an independent nation towards world-standard respecting education, culture, solidarity, state policy, and parity between men and communities. Oh yes, the people of our country are extraordinarily amiable. We have laid down our lives for language and liberty of the state and the idea.

You, therefore, cannot blow away our sense of fraternity, solidarity, and unity. We are not as white as you in complexion, but trying with our level best to be as civilised as you. I am putting an ending mark, and you are ardently expected to be our tropical land during the next dry season.

Your friend,
Anuvob
