My dear Bushra,
Thank you for your letter. Today I am writing about the annual prize-giving ceremony of our school.

Last week, the prize-giving ceremony of our school was held on our school campus. The school was nicely decorated. The function began at 10 a.m. The UNO was in the chair. The Headmaster read out the annual report of the school. The prizes were given on the examination results, indoor games, cultural activities, attendance in school, etc. At the end of the function, a drama was staged. The president delivered a fine speech. Our Headmaster thanked all. Then the function came to an end.

No more today.

Dear Saadi,
Take my love and affection. Hope you are well by the grace of the Almighty Lord. I am also fine by His mercy. However, from your last letter, I have learnt that you are eager to know about the annual sports day of our school. Well, our school campus was colourfully decorated. Just at 10.00 am sports programme commenced. I took part in long jump, cock fight, throwing discus, and hadudu. I became first in cock fight and second in throwing the discus.

Just at 6.00 pm, prize prize-giving ceremony commenced. The Headmaster read out a brief report of the school’s achievements and contributions. Then he distributed prizes among the winners. I got two prizes, one for cock fight and another for throwing the discus. After the prizes had been distributed among the winners, the annual sports day of our school ended.

No more today. More when we meet together. Convey my compliments to dear uncle and auntie.

Yours ever
Tamim

My dear Ratna,
Thank you for your sweet letter. In it, you expressed your desire to know about the annual prize-giving ceremony of our college. I am glad to let you know about it.

At our college, prizes are awarded on the basis of brilliant performance in the fields of class examination, the HSC examination, indoor games, and literary and cultural activities. One special prize is awarded for regular attendance at college. You will be glad to know that I got a prize for my brilliant result in the last exam. On this occasion, the college auditorium was nicely decorated with flowers and leaves, flags and festoons.

Guardians of the students and the elites of the locality attended the function. The DC was the chief guest. The function began with the recitation from the holy Quran. The Principal read out the annual report of the college. Then the DC, the chief guest of the ceremony, gave away the prizes to the prize winners and delivered a short but valuable speech, wishing the students to be eminent scholars and ideal citizens of the country.

Finally, the Principal thanked the chief guest and everybody present at the ceremony. The ceremony ended with the national anthem. It was a joyous day for us, and we all enjoyed the day very much. No more today. I am OK. Hope to hear from you soon.

Yours ever,
Sumona
