Bangladesh is an agricultural country, and most of its people are farmers. One who is engaged in growing crops such as paddy, onion, wheat, lady’s finger, pulses, sugarcane, etc, is called a farmer. As ours is an agro-based economy, farmers contribute greatly to our economic development. A farmer has to work diligently. Usually, he works from dawn to dusk. He gets up very early in the morning and goes to his farmland. Generally, his son, daughter, or wife, or somebody else, brings food for him in the field.
After the hard work of several months, he sees the hope of a good harvest. His pleasures know no bounds when he can make a good harvest. But his sorrows and pains become intolerable when his crops are damaged by drought, flood, cyclone, or pests etc. He leads a life of adversities and hardships. But steps should be taken by the government to provide the farmers with good seed, fertilizer, and agriloan on easy terms for all-out national advancement.

A farmer is a person who does the work of farming. An ideal farmer is a very important person in our society. He lives in a village. He lives a very simple life. He works hard to earn his livelihood. At noon, he comes home, eats his meals, takes rest,e st and again goes to the field. He has both pleasures and pains in life. He gets pleasure when he gets a good harvest. The person who does the work of farming is known as a farmer. In Bangladesh, the life of a farmer is not so good. He inherits a little land. He is illiterate. He does not know how to plough his land scientifically. He cannot apply the scientific method. He has only a pair of bullocks and some handmade tools. Often, he does not have enough money to buy seeds, fertilizer, or pesticide.
As a result, he cannot produce more food for himself and his family. He cannot make proper use of his land. He gets up early in the morning, goes to his land, ploughs it, sows the seeds, and weeds out. He comes home at noon, eats his meal, takes a rest, and again goes to his land. He was born poor. Sometimes he takes a loan from the moneylenders. If he cannot repay the loan, he sells the piece of land.
A farmer is left at the mercy of nature. He has pleasures and pains in life. If he gets a good harvest, his face beams with joy. On the other hand, if the crops are not good, his sorrows know no bounds. He and his family starve. He leads a very poor life. Though he works hard, he cannot lead a decent life. Bangladesh is an agricultural country. The people who are engaged in agricultural work on their own small farms are called farmers. The farmers live in the village and work on their agricultural fields to grow paddy, wheat, pulses, onion, pepper, oil seeds, sugar-cane, etc. The farmer has to work hard during the sowing and harvesting seasons.
He gets up early in the morning, eats some watered rice, and goes to work in the fields. He works till dusk. After so much hardship, when he finds his field full of crops, he becomes very happy. But drought, excessive rainfall, floods, cyclones, and pests often destroy the crops. Then his sorrows know no bounds. He maintains his family with much difficulty and hardship.

The government should take steps to educate them and assist them with good seed, fertilizer, and better agricultural knowledge. His contribution to the economy of country is great. It is the farmers who keep the wheels of the economy of the country running by toiling hard in the field. He works hard to grow paddy and other cereals to feed the nation.
