Traffic Jam Dialogue (1)

Rony: Hello! Sumon. You’re too late today. What’s the matter?
Myself: Oh! I’m bored with the serious traffic jams in our city.

Rony: This wastes our valuable time. Particularly, we, the students, are seriously affected by it. We can hardly join our classes on time.
Myself: I feel it every moment. But I think patients and office-goers also suffer as severely as we do.

Rony: What do you think about the reasons behind this?
Myself: I think population explosion, narrow roads, negligence of the authority, and our carelessness are the main reasons.

Rony: I agree with you. But such a situation must not go on.
Myself: No. We must take necessary steps to minimize the problem.

Rony: I think, first of all, we should increase awareness among all classes of people.
Myself: Right. But at the same time, roads and streets should also be developed.

Rony: Above all, traffic rules must be enforced strictly.
Myself: I agree with you. Thank you.
Rony: Thank you, too.

Traffic Jam Dialogue (2)

Isha: Hi, Papon! How’re you?
Papon: Fine. And you?

Isha: I’m also well. I’m pondering over a national problem.
Papon: What’s that?

Isha: That’s a traffic jam in the capital city.
Papon: Oh! Bapon, traffic jam is a great problem in our country, particularly in Dhaka city. Do you know about the causes of traffic jams?

Isha: Yes, it happens when different vehicles want to move ahead, overtaking each other.
Papon: Right. Not only this. The unfavourable street conditions and violation of the traffic rules are the other causes of traffic jams.

Isha: Exactly, what are the effects of such a traffic jam? Can you tell me?
Papon: Why not? Many people fail to attend their office duties on time. The worst victims are the critical patients carried in the ambulances to hospitals and clinics.

Isha: Correct. Can’t we get rid of this curse in Dhaka city?
Papon: Of course. Widening the streets, making flyovers at the main crossings, reducing the number of rickshaws, and above all, growing public awareness are necessary to remove traffic jams. If we can do these, we can get rid of this curse.

Isha: Thank you, you’re right.
Papon: You’re welcome.

Rina: I’m fine, but you look worried. What’s wrong with you?

Runa: I’m thinking about the traffic jam in our city.
Rina: Oh, yes, it’s a great problem in our country. Almost all cities and towns are badly affected by it.

Runa: Do you know about the causes of traffic jams, friend?

Runa: I agree with you. How do people suffer due to traffic jams?
